Blessing Bags for the Homeless

St. Margaret's Guild

March 1, 2020

I felt this might be of interest to many parishes who were looking for different options for helping the homeless living on the streets.

Blessing Bags – March 1, 9:30 a.m. donations requested

St. Margaret's Guild on Sunday, March 1st will be stuffing Blessing Bags for the parish in the Parlor.

Blessing Bags are bags that contain snacks, travel-size toiletries, socks, a bottle of water, grooming supplies, and other items that people who live on the street find useful. Bags are kept in your car, so when you encounter a person who is experiencing homelessness, you can offer the bag to them.

Kimberly Rabanal and Alison Clarke (pictured above) organized the project for the St. Margaret's Guild

These bags are a great way to demonstrate kindness and giving.

We are also asking children to help decorate the bags as well.

We are looking for donations to help us stuff the bags. Donations can be dropped off at the Church office or brought to the Parlor on March 1st at 9:30am.
