Emmaus House Children's Christmas Eve Festival

Each year Children and their families form a line along Hank Aaron Dr. As you view these photos, will see the number of children and their families that will be visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus

According to the our count, 500 children attended this year's  Children's Christmas Festival between 9 am and 12 noon from Peoplestown and nearby communities.

This festival has gone on for many years. Here is a look back at a previous festival

Activities

Emmaus House is located in the middle of Peoplestown, a community located just south of the Old Turner Field. Emmaus House provides services and programs to the residents of 
of Peoplestown Community

The Children's Christmas Eve Festival has been held for many years at Emmaus House.

The 2019 Children's Christmas Eve Festival activities include the following:

  1. Movie in the Chapel
  1. A magic show held in the building called the Study Hall
  1. A visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus to receive their Christmas presents
  1. Books, Bags, and Stockings to round out their visit.

The Lokey Help Center provides assistance and services to the residents of the Peoplestown Community

The programs that offered at Emmaus House are designed to empower children, youth, and adults to overcome challenges associated with poverty and systemic racism, and to equip leaders to change the systems that perpetuate these problems.
